Loutzavia operates an exclusive flying academy practicing the highest training standards to provide courses from PPL (Private Pilot License) to ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License). Loutzavia is situated in the main terminal building of Wonderboom Airport, Pretoria.

Loutzavia management and instructors pride themselves on their top quality flight training. Yet they maintain a relaxed atmosphere where career-orientated students, social flyers and prospective aircraft owners feel equally welcome and at ease. Loutzavia's modern facilities combine the latest innovations in training technology, the skills of highly competent, full-time instructors and staff to ensure you, the student pilot, gain the optimum benefit from the training course of your choice.

All the academy's flight instructors are monitored and coached on a regular basis by Loutzavia's in-house Designated Examiner, Jannie Loutzis. Jannie has accumulated in excess of 8000 flying hours during his 23 years flying experience. Loutzavia is currently training personnel from the SACAA, SAPS Air Wing , SAA and the Botswana goverment to name but a few. Pilots who have been awarded bursaries from TETA are currently under training at the academy.

Courses are presented on a one-on-one basis to ensure personal attention, which also allows students to train at their own pace. The Loutzavia Commercial Pilot License ground school, lasting eight weeks is run four times annually. CPL ground school courses are also available to suit individual needs, especially for those active in the business sector with many demands on their time.

Loutzavia is a full-time operation open 7 days a week and only breaks over the Christmas and New Year season for a week.

Loutzavia is based at Wonderboom Airport a mere 14km north of Pretoria City Centre (the Capital City of South Africa). Pretoria is situated in Gauteng Province, known for its year round mild weather conditions affording almost uninterrupted training flight programs. Wonderboom is a well maintained and controlled airport and being in the capital city ensures that it is supported by a well developed infrastructure.

This delightful Airport is relatively busy, with approximately 11 000 movements per month. The environment allows students to master the intricacies of radio procedures whilst learning to handle the aircraft. Wonderboom is positioned in a Control Zone (CTR), under the Johannesburg Terminal Control Area (TMA) which is busy enough to keep students continuously in contact with other traffic, thus providing ideal training conditions.

The exclusive, stylish, Loutzavia office and the pilot shop are situated on the ground floor in the Wonderboom Airport terminal building. Both are conveniently positioned only a few steps away from the Loutzavia aircraft fleet, control tower and Villa San Giovanni restaurant.
